Screen Lock Removal
i4Tools provides screen lock removal functionality to help you remove forgotten passcodes and screen locks from your iOS device. This feature is useful when you've forgotten your device passcode or need to reset Face ID/Touch ID.
Supported Lock Types
- Passcode locks (4-digit, 6-digit, alphanumeric)
- Face ID locks
- Touch ID locks
- Screen time passcodes
Important Notes
⚠️ Important:
- Screen lock removal will erase all data on your device
- Make sure you have a backup before proceeding
- This feature should only be used on devices you own
- You'll need to set up your device again after removal
- Some methods may require device to be in DFU/Recovery mode
Before Removal
Before attempting to remove a screen lock:
- Backup your device if possible (if you can access it)
- Ensure device has sufficient battery (50%+ recommended)
- Use a stable USB connection
- Have your Apple ID credentials ready (for activation after removal)
Removal Process
The process typically involves:
- Connecting your device to i4Tools
- Putting device in DFU or Recovery mode (if required)
- Selecting screen lock removal option
- Following on-screen instructions
- Waiting for the process to complete
- Setting up your device again
Data Preservation
Note that most screen lock removal methods will erase device data. However, if you have a backup, you can restore your data after removing the lock.
- Backup before removal (if possible)
- Restore from backup after removal
- Use iCloud backup if available
- Use iTunes/i4Tools backup
